I’m JJ Alvarado, a Northern California illustrator working under the studio name Niblet Draws. I work in traditional and digital watercolor and colored pencil — editorial illustration, product packaging, surface pattern design, and custom maps. 

I spent 16 years running a handmade product business before moving into illustration full time, which means I understand what it takes to get work across the finish line — production-ready files, clear communication, and a professional process that makes life easier for the people I work with.
